KCR’s Crucial Decisions Over Lockdown

The Modi-CM’s video conference meet today had been an interactive and helpful one. They discussed ways to tackle the COVID-19 threat in the country and about the extension in the lockdown. Chief ministers were seemed to be content with his decisions over the lockdown extension and readily agreed to what he said.
Chief Minister of India’s Youngest state K Chandrasekhar Rao was also present in the video meeting held today. He voiced his opinion to extend the lockdown for about two weeks to prevent the spread of the virus. While addressing the media, the minister also made an official confirmation over the news on the extension in the dates of lockdown which has been extended to two weeks from April 14.
The minister also talked in the favor of farmers and the food processing industry by requesting the latter to be made operable so the farmers don’t suffer.
“Lockdown has helped in containing the spread of Corona (coronavirus) to a great level. It is better to extend the lockdown for two more weeks. There is no other better solution than this, he said. He also suggested the need for strategic economic policy and quoted RBI to implement a quantitative easing policy. This will facilitate the States and financial institutions to accrue funds.
The Telangana government has also set up 6,849 procurement centers at village level which facilitate the procurement of food grains. These also restrict the farmers to form crowds and reduce the chances of virus spread.
