One Indian was caught, and 47 immigrants were saved.
A 26-year-old Indian man called Dhrambir "X" was recently caught in Cancun, Mexico, after a shocking finding was made.
Cancun authorities said that Dhrambir was caught during the rescue operation that saved 46 men and one woman who were locked in a room against their will.
The operation was led by IM Lieutenant Commander José Pablo Mathey Cruz, who worked for the Cancun Municipal Secretary of Public Safety. They quickly reacted to an unidentified tip in SM 22, which led to the release of 47 Indian refugees. The immigrants were found after someone called 911 and told the police that they were in a small hotel on Margaritas Street.
Cancun police were able to catch Dhrambir "X," who is from the same country as the people who were saved. All 47 newcomers were given medical exams and care that followed world standards. They were then taken to the National Institute of Migration (INM) for the formal processes that needed to be done.
This shows how important it is to respond quickly and effectively to reports of human rights violations to make sure that the people affected are safe and healthy.
