Poll Staff To Be Provided By Postal Ballots, Seeks YSRCP
A delegation submitted a representation to the district collector, requesting him to provide postal ballot facility to every employee who took part in poll duties. On Tuesday YSRCP state general secretary, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and other YSRCP leaders met district collector K Bhaskar.
The main issue that was raised to the notice of the collector was that more than 36,000 employees in Vishakhapatnam were assigned for election duties, out of which 14,300 employees applied for the postal ballot, but only 2,200 employees got the facility. Veerabhadra Rao, along with YSRCP candidates bought this issue to the notice of the collector.
The YSRCP general secretary further stated that people of Andhra Pradesh are fed up with the TDP government, also doubted that the ruling TDP government will not provide the postal ballot facility to all the employees in the fear that YSRCP might win.
However, the district collector was firmed that the ballot facility has been provided to those employees, who applied for it before the polling day, and all the applications after that were rejected.
