"Tyranny": TDP criticizes the CM of AP over the Anganwadi workers' protest
Amidst the ongoing strikes by Anganwadi workers to protest the Andhra Pradesh government, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has come under criticism from the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Lokesh said in a statement to the reporters that Jagan Reddy's sheer lack of compassion for the Anganwadi workers who are struggling for their fundamental liberties acts as proof of tyranny. The Jagan Reddy government was also condemned by senior TDP leader Achanta Sunitha for not addressing the demands of the Anganwadi workers in the state.
Anganwadi workers, municipal employees, midday meal workers, and grama volunteers are all participating in protests around the state to voice their displeasure with the government's policies. Positive outcomes were not achieved in the talks between the state government and Anganwadi representatives.
The meeting's chair, Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana, urged the Anganwadi workers' and helpers' associations' members to allow the state government more time to address their concerns. The Anganwadi workers decided to keep up their protests until their demands were met.
