Who will present Telangana Budget?
From February 22 a four-day budget session of Telangana assembly followed with a vote-on-account budget will be presented on the same day. Budget discussion, the appropriation bill would be adopted on February 25. However, as the Telangana cabinet has not formed yet, questions are rasing who will be presenting the budget in the assembly.
For now, Chief Minister KCR and home minister Mahmood Ali are the only two members part of the cabinet. As CMO have decided to announce the budget on February 22nd it is speculated that Chief Minister KCR may either go for expansion of cabinet or may also take the role of presenting budget if the cabinet is not formed.
CM KCR conducted meeting with senior officials SK Joshi, finance advisor GR Reddy, and many more on the budget formulation.
KCR mentioned that the vote-on-account budget should be formulated on the lines of all the commitments that are made to the people during the election manifesto, several meetings, and maximum focus should rely on welfare and agriculture followed with existing schemes too.
Priorities, schemes, and expenditures that the government looks into are said to be major discussions happened between KCR and officials.
