Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Reviews Ongoing Repairs at Prakasam Barrage After Flood Damage
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited the Prakasam Barrage to inspect the ongoing repair work following recent flood damage. The floods had caused several boats to be swept away, significantly affecting gates 67 and 69 of the barrage. During the inspection, CM Naidu was updated on the recent installation of new counterweights at the damaged gates, which was completed the previous day.
The Chief Minister held a detailed discussion with Kannayya Naidu, a specialist overseeing the gate repairs, to review the progress and ensure the new counterweights were functioning as intended. Additionally, CM Naidu personally assessed the flood flow in the Krishna River, closely monitoring the situation as part of his visit. The ongoing repairs are crucial to restoring the barrage's operational safety and stability in light of the challenges posed by the recent flooding.
