Ap Govt Permit To Re-Open Seized Theatres

As per the recent reports almost 185 cinema theaters got closed across Andhra Pradesh after the state government slashed film ticket prices. The Officials raided the theaters and few theaters in Vizianagaram were seized in the name of no Fire Safety Certificates Renewals.
In Krishna district alone, 15 theaters were seized stating no Form-B license. Close to 100 theaters were seized in this process. Now as per the latest report, Jagan government has given permission to re-open the closed theaters of AP with immediate effect but on this condition.
The reports suggest that the theater owners were given one month of time to fix the issues for which the cinema halls were closed and if failed to do so, strict action will be taken against the owner of the theatre. This is a good news for the exhibition team and the movie makers as the big budget films such as RRR and Radhe Shyam are gearing up for the grand release.
YSRCP government’s decision to reduce the prices of movie tickets and the sudden raids on theatres at many places riled the movie fraternity. Theatres found to be functioning allegedly during the surprise visits of officials were sealed. But now the government has given permission to re open the closed theaters.
