CM KCR believes he can win a third Assembly term.
K. Chandrashekhar Rao, chief minister of Telangana and president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), is confident that his party will win a third consecutive term in the Assembly elections because the people of Telangana will not be duped by the "cheap politics" of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Party (Congress).
The Chief Minister warned that, with elections coming up, it was up to party members to reveal the false claims made by the opposition cautiously. On Monday, he told party employees that he emphasised their duty to help the party grow stronger.
The Chief Minister said that while some people saw politics as a game, it was a job for BRS. He would be forever grateful to party workers for ensuring the party's grand win in elections ranging from panchayats to parliamentary constituency elections. He claimed that the BRS administration had made Telangana a benchmark for welfare and development because they viewed politics as a sacred duty to meet the needs of the people.
The BRS government ensured that Telangana became a model for the rest of the nation by carrying out works and welfare programmes that were thought to be impossible.
He said it was one of the five major states that had a major impact on the country's economy.
He noted that despite Telangana's remarkable progress in recent years, the country still needed help with problems like a lack of clean water for human consumption and agriculture and a lack of reliable sources of electricity 75 years after gaining independence.
Unfortunately, India is plagued by communal hate and is falling behind in development, as Chandrashekhar Rao pointed out, while China, Singapore, and South Korea are making rapid strides.
He blamed Congress and the BJP, saying they needed more direction and commitment for the country's lacklustre progress. He emphasised that the BRS had "set new agenda for the country and started on a new journey to influence the national politics" to help fill the vacuum.
But the BJP-led union government targeted the BRS party from every angle because of its Ab Ki Bar Kisan Sarkar slogan. The BRS head also claimed that it was slowing down Telangana's development.
