EC to announce 2019 Lok Sabha elections dates today at 5 PM
Lok Sabha elections 2019 dates has been creating a lot of controversies with much demanding reason for its delay in announcements. However, the Election Commission will finally be releasing the dates on Sunday at 5 PM. The term of current Lok Sabha will expire on June 3.
The dates will be announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora at a press conference at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. It is speculated that the election dates will be from early April till mid-May, soon after which the results would be announced.
Soon after the announcement, the Model Code of Conduct will be in effect which lays down the do's and don't's ahead of the elections.
Apart from Lok Sabha schedule, four state assembly elections for Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh are also likely to be announced today.
