Elon Musk Lashes Out On Twitter Late At Night, Criticising Openai And Worker Leaks
Elon Musk didn't seem to be able to sleep early on Friday morning, or he didn't seem to want to.
The CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, who is renowned for getting six hours of sleep each night, had a few things on his mind, foremost of which was his founding involvement in OpenAI in light of an unsettling New York Times article about the service going haywire. He said that the service was becoming into a "closed source, maximum-profit enterprise essentially controlled by Microsoft" at 1:36 a.m. Pacific time. He also seems irritated by recent negative coverage of Twitter that was released.
Just 15 minutes later, he tweeted, "Many major media sites falsely stated that my Tweets were boosted over typical levels earlier this week." (Musk seems to still be in the Bay Area, according to ElonJet's Mastodon postings.
He continued on. After a brief break, Musk continued to blast the Washington Post, former Twitter executives, and, perhaps most significantly, a recent report that claimed Musk had employed engineers to use a tool called the "power user multiplier" to massively increase the reach of his tweets to all of Twitter's users.
