US Ambassador Eric Garcetti said on Wednesday that one was given to a student in India in 2022 of every five US student visas. This is more than the percentage of the world's population that is Indian. Wednesday was the seventh annual Student Visa Day in India.
Garcetti said at the event that more Indian students come to the U.S. than from any other country. In 2022, India granted one out of every five student visas, more than the percentage of Indian people worldwide. Indians have not only gone to school in the US but have also done well for decades. We are on track to handle the most visa requests from kids in our history.
