Highlights Of PM Modi’s Address To The Nation

PM Modi addressed the whole nation today at 8 pm, a day after his six hours-long meetings with Chief minister of states.
In this fifth address to the nation, he announced a new economic package of about Rs 20 lakh crore – almost 10% of the country’s GDP.
This package is for farmers, the middle class and the industry. He also said that this package would lead India to a self-reliant country and help to compete on the global level.
He said that the vision of making India self-reliant will depend on five pillars. These are Economy, infrastructure, system, demography and demand.
He also proclaimed about Lockdown 4.0 to be imposed after 17 May with completely new rules and regulations. These will be discussed with CM’s of state and will be brought into the public.
Throughout the address, he emphasized on making India self-reliant by using local products and being vocal. He told us to bring confidence in the local market and local manufacturing.
Meanwhile, India reported 3,604 new coronavirus patients in the last 24 hours and 87 deaths linked to the illness that brings the total number of cases in the country to 70,756, including 2,293 deaths
