In the 1980s, China and India had GDPs that were practically identical. India's GDP remained at 3 trillion dollars, whereas China's had grown to 16 trillion dollars. He claimed that this was mostly because China prioritized development while India placed more emphasis on politics and neglected development.
The Minister stated, drawing on his observations from a recent trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, that nations all around the world acknowledged their excessive reliance on China and have gradually begun to distance themselves from it.
India has a fantastic potential to take advantage of this and advance. India must expand its diversification into other industries such as manufacturing and services. And the young thinkers that India has are a fantastic advantage, he added.
