KTR wants Swedish companies to invest in Telangana.
On Wednesday, the Minister of Industries and IT, KT Rama Rao, said that Swedish companies that invest in Telangana will get all the help they need.
A group of business leaders and representatives, led by the Swedish Ambassador to India, Jan Thesleff, met with the Minister of Industries in his office in the Secretariat to talk about investment opportunities in Telangana. During the meeting, the minister told the delegation about the state's industrial policies and the different ways to invest there.
He told the Swedish company representatives that they should invest in the state, especially in the technology and manufacturing sectors.
Representatives of Swedish companies said they were happy with the talks and the opportunities for investing in Telangana. Officials said that they were impressed with how much Hyderabad had changed in eight years in terms of its infrastructure.
Ambassador Jan Thesleff told Rama Rao that he would try to bring more Swedish companies to Telangana, especially to Hyderabad, because it was a good place to do business. He said that his government had set up a special system called the Investment Facilitation Mechanism to work with a group of companies that wanted to invest in India. The Ambassador said that the Swedish Embassy was always looking for ways to invest in Telangana.
