PM Modi Addresses People to Enroll as Voters Via Tweet on National Voters Day
In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, January 25 is celebrated as "National Voters' Day". This day was started from the year 2011. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged the voters to enrol and said that every vote enhances the country's democratic fabric.
Modi tweeted, "I urge people from all walks of life to create awareness on voter registration and especially request my young friends to register themselves as voters if they have not done so already. Every vote cast enhances our democratic fabric".
He also added that "This is a day to reaffirm our commitment towards further strengthening our democracy by unfailingly participating in democratic processes at the local, state and national levels and said that it is a long way in creating a new India."
