PM Modi Aims for Peaceful Resolution During Ukraine Visit
Ahead of his visit to Kyiv, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his hope for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Modi's trip, scheduled from August 21 to 23, will include stops in both Poland and Ukraine. His first destination is Poland, where he will spend two days before traveling to Kyiv.
In a statement before his departure, Modi highlighted the significance of his visit, noting that it will be the first time an Indian Prime Minister has visited Ukraine. He emphasized his intention to discuss strengthening bilateral ties with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and to explore avenues for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Modi described Poland as a key economic partner for India in Central Europe, and he expressed eagerness to meet with Polish leaders, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Andrzej Duda, to advance their partnership. Additionally, Modi plans to engage with the Indian community in Poland during his visit.
