Professionals in IT Cannot Wear Saris!
Since YS Jagan introduced I-PAC to the politics of Andhra Pradesh, digital mudslinging has reached a new level. Currently, an intense digital conflict is being waged. Yesterday, Chandrababu Naidu supporters from Hyderabad who work in the IT industry attempted to organise a large car rally to demonstrate their support for the former chief minister, who is known for his technological savvy.
However, the AP police department took every precaution to prevent these Telangana IT professionals from entering Rajahmundry. In the meantime, YSR Congress supporters engaged in unsubstantiated smear campaigns against these IT professionals on social media. Their argument centres on the claim that women in the IT industry do not wear sarees, with photographs of women who have encountered Nara Brahmani serving as evidence. Similar to how they depicted Amaravati farmers as paid artists, they have attempted to label them as paid groups.
To divert attention away from their leader's errors, YSRCP supporters resort uncritically to these cheap tactics, but neutral observers take note. These individuals do more damage to their party than the opposition before they realise it. Are women who work in IT prohibited from wearing sarees? Is this how the families of these sponsored groups who are abusing them on social media function? God save them and their political party in the upcoming elections.
