Rishi Sonak Surprised Win Over Audience In TV Debate

Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak surprised everyone after winning over studio audience in a heated debate with his opposition member Liz Truss to become Britain's next prime minister.
The Battle for Number 10 has happened on Sky News on Thursday night where finalists met with conservative members face to face. The opinion polls that backed Truss failed to help him after the sitting audience at Sky News debate supported Rishi Sunak in a show of hands.
Presenter Kay Burley questioned Truss "Will the real Liz Truss please stand up?" along with a run through of her policy U-turns. After the damaging statement given by her campaign team on Monday, Truss has got into another U-turn.
“The government could save £8.8 billion a year if it pays lower salaries to public sector workers who lived outside London,” the statement reads. Burley blamed her for asking government to cut the salaries of civil servants and not agreeing on her own words later.
When Burley asked if good leaders own their mistakes or should they blame others, Truss supported herself stressing that she not blaming anyone but only speaking about the misrepresentation by various people.
Although Sunak too faced tough questioning, he won over finally with a larger number of hands showing his side.
