Switch Off Lights And Light Diyas On April 5th 9PM: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his message to the nation yesterday. He urged people to switch off the lights for 9 minutes at 9 PM on Sunday (April 5th) and light diyas to express solidarity with each other. He asked people to do it on balconies in their homes and asked them not to form groups. The Prime Minister said that this move will show that all 130 crore Indians are maintaining unity to fight against COVID19.
Modi addressed the individuals who are in despair and feeling lonely at homes. He said that no one is alone as we are 130 crore people united to fight against this dreadful disease. He also praised Indian citizens for following the lockdown. He said that India has become an inspiration for other countries and they are trying to follow the same.
“Ringing of bells and clanging of utensils at 5 pm on March 22 had shown the unity among Indians in this challenging time,” said Modi. He also stated that Indians have shown great discipline and service during the lockdown period. He acknowledged the service done by doctors, health care workers, police, and others for the patients.
On the other side, though the government is saying that the lockdown will not be extended, the chances are high for the extension as COVID19 positive cases are increasing every day. The recent Delhi Nizamuddin meeting has increased the cases as people who went there have spread the disease all over Andhra Pradesh.
