The first Gorilla Glass factory in India is now in Telangana.

Corning Inc., which makes most of the glass for smartphones, has chosen to open their first Gorllia Glass plant in Telangana. This is a big change for both Telangana and India.

Corning's famous and reliable "Gorilla Glass" will be made in the plant. "Gorilla Glass" is an innovation that makes it hard for screens on smart phones, tablets, and computers to break.

Corning Inc. will put in 934, which will create jobs for about 800 people in Telangana. At the same time, it will strengthen India's claim that it is the place where smartphones will be made in the future.

Telangana has become one of the most popular places for foreign companies that want to set up a business in India. Just a few months ago, Foxconn put a total of $550 million into the state to make gadgets.

Aside from that, many IT companies in the country are in Hyderabad. The biggest office of even Amazon is in Hyderabad. So, it wasn't a big surprise when Corning Inc. decided to put their new investment in Telangana.
