Trinamool, NCP, and CPI lose status after EC recognises AAP as a national party

On Monday, the Election Commission granted national party status to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). At the same time, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) of Sharad Pawar, the Trinamool Congress of Mamata Banerjee, and the Communist Party of India all lost their national party status. (CPI).
The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) of late Ajit Singh in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Andhra Pradesh, the PDA in Manipur, the PMK in Puducherry, the RSP in West Bengal, and the MPC in Mizoram all had their state party status revoked by the ECI in an order issued on Monday. Based on its electoral performance in Delhi, Goa, Punjab, and Gujarat, the Commission has nominated the AAP as a national party. Arvind Kejriwal's party now runs both Delhi and Punjab.
The election commission has announced that it will decertify the Nationalist Communist Party (NCP), the Communist Party of India (CPI), and the Trinamool Party (TMP). Main national parties now include the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Congress (Congress), Communist Party of India (Maoist), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Naga People's Front (NCP) and the Trinamool Congress (TCC) have both been declared state parties in Meghalaya and Nagaland, respectively, by the Election Commission (EC). The Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas of Nagaland, the Voice of the People Party of Meghalaya, and the Tipra Motha of Tripura were all designated as "recognised state political parties" under the act.
